
Crochet Power Cord Strap Pattern

Materials;
Yarn: any fiber (cotton, acrylic, wool, etc.) size 4 weight: ~10 yards
Hook: 4.50 mm / US 7 / UK 7
Scissors, Yarn Needle
A button or bead
Sewing needle & thread
Stitch Legend;

st(s) – stitch(es)
sp(s) – space(es)
ch(s) – chain(s)
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
Notes;
- The number of stitches will appear at the end of each row in parentheses
- For a longer strap (for a larger cord) begin with a longer foundation chain row
- There is no multiple for this pattern, you can use any number of chains to begin
- Make your Strap in a colour that matches the device the cord belongs to for quick
identification
Pattern – CH 18,
R1: dc into the 5th ch from the hook (creates button hole) and in each ch across (12 dc not
including turning chains). Do not ch, rotate to work along the side of the last dc st.
Border R2: sc into the edge of the last dc, 2 sc into the first foundation ch, sc into each
foundation ch up the bottom of the strap. Across the turning chains work 2 sc in the first
ch, sc in the next 2 chs, 2 sc in the last ch, sc in the top of each st across to last st, 2 sc in the
last st, join with a sl st to the top of the first sc (~33). Fasten off.
Sew Button to end opposite button hole using your yarn tail OR a needle & thread .
Weave in all ends.
