Explanation of the crochet Christmas tree

One of the most widespread traditions together with the nativity scene is certainly the Christmas tree. A custom of Nordic origins, a symbol of rebirth that cannot be missing in our homes during the Christmas holidays. 

To make the crochet Christmas tree you need to prepare 4 sections of leaves, the tip and the colored balls. Needed: cotton number 10 and number 20 - 1.0 mm crochet hook - scissors - wadding - glue - plasticized iron wire - pliers. For the leaves use cotton number 10, for everything else number 20. 
 

Explanation of the first section of leaves

Start 4 chains   and in the first make 14 double crochet (total 15).
1st round: 9 chains and in these make: 2 single crochet, 2 half double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 double double crochet, skip 2 basic stitches, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 5 times. 

Make 13 sections. 

Explanation of the second section of leaves 

Start 4 chains   and in the first make 14 double crochet (total 15). 1st round: 7 chains and in these make: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 double crochet, skip 2 basic stitches, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 5 times. Make 9 sections. 
 
 
 

Explanation of the third section of leaves 

Start 4 chains and in the first make 14 double crochet (total 15).
1st round: 5 chain stitches and in these make: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double double crochet, skip 2 basic stitches, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 5 times. Make 5 sections. 

 

Explanation of the fourth section of leaves

Start 4 chains and in the first make 9 double crochet (total 10).
1st round: 4 chain stitches and in these make: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double double crochet, skip a basic stitch, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 5 times. Make 2 sections. 
 
 

Cut a piece of plasticized wire of the appropriate length for the work being carried out. On one point, wrap a bit of cotton wool and, with the help of pliers, bend the point 2 times to block the cotton and create a knot.

Tip explanation

Start 4 chains and in the first make 9 double crochet (total 10).
1st round: 2 double crochet closed together for the whole round. Insert the plasticized wire by placing the knot inside. Close the first round.
2nd round: 1 slip stitch. 4 chain stitches and in these make: 1 single crochet, 2 half double crochets. 1 slip point. 

Insert the various sections of leaves into the stem in ascending order, alternating their position.
Insert the sapling thus obtained inside the vase.
Shape the leaves with your hands. 

Explanation of the colored ball

Start 4 chains and in the first make 3 double crochet. Insert the hook in the first high point (replaced by the 3 initial chains) and close thus forming the ball. Cut the cotton and tie a knot 2 times with the two ends. Cut off the excess cotton. Make all the balls you need for your composition. Glue the balls on the tips of the leaves alternating the various colors.
