 How to crochet Begonia flower

A plant of a thousand species that has always been loved and appreciated both for its original foliage and for its abundant and fragrant flowering. Begonias are all native to the warm, humid areas of tropical forests. To make the crochet Begonia it is necessary to prepare 2 sections of petals, the pistil and the leaves that are of 2 different sizes.
Needed: cotton number 20 - 1.0 mm crochet needle - 0.45 mm galvanized iron wire - scissors - needle - plasticized iron wire - pliers.
Explanation of the small petal section

Start with chain 5 and do: 1 double treble crochet, 2 triple treble crochets, 2 double treble crochets. Lower with slip stitches to the first chain and make another petal.

Explanation of the midsection of petals

Start 4 chains and in the first make 6 double crochets (total 7). Turn the job. 1st round: chain 3, 2 double treble crochets, 3 double treble crochets in one stitch, 2 triple treble crochets, 1 double treble crochet. Lower with slip stitches to the first chain and make another petal.

Explanation of the pistil
To make the pistil, make a skein by wrapping the cotton in 2 fingers 12 times. Cut about 20 cm of galvanized iron wire (some even 15 cm). Fold the skein in half by placing it in the center of the iron wire, twist the iron wire around itself for about 2 cm to block the skein, and create the stem to attach the flower. Shape the pistil by cutting off excess cotton. Same procedure for flowers with the smallest connecting stem. Insert the small section and the center section into the stem that attaches the pistil and cover it with cotton working the chains around it. Fasten the twigs together by twisting the wire 2-3 times, each time cutting off the extra wire. Only 2 pieces will remain that will be used to tie the flower to the stem. Make all the flowers you need for your composition.

Explanation of the large leaf

Start with 20 chains. Cut a piece of galvanized iron wire that goes around the complete circle of the chains plus an additional 3-4 cm on each side and join it by working 19 single crochets on one side and 19 double crochets on the other. 1st round: 1 single crochet and 2 medium double crochets in one point, 1 double crochet and 2 double crochets in one point, 2 triple double crochets in one point 3 times, 2 quadruple double crochets in one point 3 times, 2 double crochets triple in one stitch 3 times, 2 double crochet, 2 high crochet, 2 medium high crochet, 2 low crochet. Repeat the same on the other side of the chains in reverse. Stretch the sheet well and twist the wire around itself for about 1 cm. Cover the connecting stem of the leaf with cotton by working the chains around it. Make all the sheets you need for your composition.

Explanation of the middle sheet
Start 16 chains. Cut a piece of galvanized iron wire that goes around the complete circle of the chains plus an additional 3 cm on each side and join it to them by working about 15 single crochets on one side and 15 single crochets on the other. 1st round: 1 single crochet and 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet and 1 double crochet in one point, 2 triple double crochet in one point 5 times, 2 double double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 double crochet , 2 single points. Repeat the same on the other side in reverse. Stretch the sheet well and twist the wire around itself for about 1 cm.

Cover the connecting stem of the leaf with cotton by working the chains around it. Make 2 medium leaves per stem. Cut a piece of plasticized iron wire of the correct length and thickness for the job to be done. Using pliers, bend one end twice to form a knot. Immediately below the knot, tie the 2 medium leaves. Then fasten the bouquet of flowers and, spacing about 1 cm, fasten the large leaves along the entire length of the stem.

Cover the stem with cotton, working the chains around it, except for about 3 cm that will be inserted into the vase. To cover the knot at the top of the stem, make a small dome: start 4 chains and in the first make 9 double crochets (total 10). Place it over the knot and sew it to the stem. For this composition, 3 stems were made with 6 large leaves, 2 medium leaves and a bouquet of 3 flowers each.

Of course, it can be modified and personalized by varying the color tone and the amount of flowers and leaves.
As always I hope I have been clear in the explanation.
Hello everyone to the next creation.
